U.S. to Reopen Canada, Mexico Borders for tourists Vaccinated against COVID-19

travelers from Canada and Mexico who are wholly vaccinated against COVID-19 could be able to enter the U.S. starting next month via land and ferry ports of entry, the homeland safety branch announced Tuesday.

The plan is akin to what might be required of foreign air travelers coming to the U.S. starting in November.

"In alignment with the new overseas air shuttle equipment that may be carried out in November, we will start enabling tourists from Mexico and Canada who're completely vaccinated for COVID-19 to enter the united states for non-essential purposes, together with to seek advice from pals and family or for tourism, by the use of land and ferry border crossings," place of origin security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said in an announcement.

There might be a phased method for tourists from Canada and Mexico. First, subsequent month, friends can enter the U.S. at land and ferry ports of entry for non-primary causes.
