Gov. David Ige intends to lift some COVID-19 restrictions

  • Gov. David Ige is "optimistic" that he can announce lifting some COVID-19 restrictions this week.

    This morning, Ige announced on his facebook account: "Now that we're seeing a decrease number of situations and hospitalized sufferers, I'm positive that through the end of this week we are able to announce that we will begin lifting a few of these restrictions, whereas protecting the health and security of relatives, a right precedence. i know lots of you're ready to get again to typical, and we're taking steps to get there. Mahalo for your tough work, persistence and kuleana."

    Ige supplied no particulars or timetable but observed, "Updates can be made soon."
