Covid-19: Republic of eire 'facing problematic winter'

The Republic of eire is facing "one of the most tricky winters" it has skilled "for decades", fitness service executive (HSE) chief Paul Reid has pointed out.

He observed the number of people receiving treatment for Covid-19 in intensive care devices (ICU) in health facility has risen.

Mr Reid informed RTÉ there are not any paediatric ICU beds available in the Republic and there are best eleven adult ICU beds free.

Mr Reid stated Covid-19 is "placing severe drive" on the Republic's health facility device.

He stated that 93 of the 206 ICU beds purchasable in the equipment are occupied via Covid sufferers, and brought that about fifty seven% of the people in ICU have not been vaccinated.
