A Loveland household nurse practitioner faces a nice after failing to comply with a cease-and-desist order instructing him to cease illegally marketing and overstating the effectiveness of alleged COVID-19 cures and treatments.
Siegfried Emme, proprietor of Loveland clinical medical institution, pays $20,000 if he complies with a consent judgment filed with the Larimer County District courtroom on Thursday, Colorado lawyer commonplace Phil Weiser referred to in a news release.
"My office will hold accountable folks that continue to ruin the legislations after they're instructed to stop — and in so doing continue to location the general public in danger," Weiser stated in the unlock. "Falsely promoting alleged 'treatments' and offering deceptive tips about treatments for COVID-19 may cause direct damage to patients and lengthen them from in search of the care they want."
In March of 2020, Emme marketed "remedies as a treatment for the coronavirus and later began promoting different treatments he claimed were remedies on his social media and blog while overstating their effectiveness," the unlock said.
The AG's workplace sent a stop-and-desist note to Emme in November.
