A coronavirus vaccine mandate issued for all Multnomah County employees nearly three weeks ago have to exclude folks that work in the sheriff's office as well as probation and parole officers as a result of state restrictions, county officials spoke of Thursday.
The announcement, made through Multnomah County Chair Deborah Kafoury, comes a day after Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler talked about the city was unable to impose the same vaccine requirement for municipal personnel on the metropolis's police drive.
